MALE ARRESTED IN ASSAULT
(HILLIER, ON.) – Prince Edward OPP responded to
a 911 call on Friday evening just before 6:00pm on Closson Road about an assault in
progress. The victim did not sustain injuries due to the assault.
Charged is 26 year old Rene LADOUCEUR of Hillier with Assault s 266 CCC and
he will appear in Picton Court on March 10, 2010.
IMPAIRED CHARGE
(SOPHIASBURGH, ON) - Prince Edward OPP were conducting a RIDE
check on Sunday February 7th at County Roads 15 and 21 in
Sophiasburgh Ward. Officers stopped a vehicle where they made a demand
for a roadside test from the driver. He was further transported to the
Picton detachment for testing after failing the roadside demand.
Officers also located a controlled substance on the person. Charged is
Alvin HARRIS, 61 years of Sophiasburgh Ward with Impaired Operation
s253(1)(a) CCC, Exceed 80 Milligrams s 253(1)(a) CCC and Possession Schedule
II Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams s 4(1) CDSA. HARRIS will
appear in Picton Court on February 24th.

MALE ARRESTED FOR BREAK AND ENTER
(PICTON, ON.) – Just before 5:00pm on February
1, 2010 Prince Edward OPP received a phone call from a resident on Spencer
Street, Picton advising that someone appeared to be breaking into their
neighbour’s house. Police arrived on scene while the male was
inside and then the suspect fled on foot out a window. Officers engaged
in a foot pursuit ultimately apprehending the male. Charged with Break,
Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence is Todd Andrew BROUGH, 24
years of Picton. BROUGH will appear in Picton Court on March 3, 2010.

Investigate Death
(Ameliasburg)
- On January 30, 2010 at approximately 7:30am, Prince Edward OPP officers
responded to an injured man on Whites Lane, Ameliasburg Ward, Prince Edward County.
Upon
arrival, a 38-year-old male was transported to Kingston General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Later
this afternoon, the victim, Mark PATTERSON of Trenton, Ontario died as a result of his injuries.
The
Prince Edward OPP Crime Unit, under the direction the OPP Criminal
Investigation Branch have arrested two adult males and a 17-year-old male in
relation to the death.
A post
mortem is scheduled for Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Ottawa Hospital, General Site.
The
investigation is continuing.
